Specialties

WA Health offers a large range of clinical specialty areas in which you can work. Becoming a specialist requires either postgraduate education or nursing experience gained on the job.

The specialties offered by each hospital and health service in the Western Australian public health sector differ. Specialty hospitals offer a range of clinical areas within their specialty. For example, Princess Margaret Hospital is a specialist paediatric hospital, Graylands Hospital is the largest mental health inpatient facility in Western Australia and King Edward Memorial Hospital specialises in midwifery and neonates.
