Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is a fully accredited teaching hospital providing tertiary care to the people of Western Australia.
SCGH is the first hospital within Western Australia to apply and be recognised as a centre for nursing excellence under the American nurse credentialing centre’s prestigious magnet program.
The hospital has an academically recognised postgraduate and continuing education course for nurses. It also has strong academic and clinical research partnerships with three Western Australian universities.
This 28 hectare medical campus has 610 beds, including 109 same day beds and an 18 bed intensive care unit (ICU). It employs 1900 full-time and part-time nurses and 600 doctors. Located 3 kilometres from Perth next to beautiful Kings Park, the hospital is easily accessible by public transport.
