Places of work – Graylands Hospital

Graylands Hospital is the largest mental health inpatient facility in Western Australia. Co-located with research and education facilities, the hospital is a major training centre for medical, nursing and allied health professionals within mental health.

Graylands Hospital is a fully accredited psychiatric teaching hospital for adult patients with strong academic and research links.

The State Forensic Mental Health Service is based here along with an inpatient unit for forensic mental health patients. Other services on campus include the Psychiatric Services Library, an art therapy centre and clinical services for young people.

Set on 10.1 hectares, Graylands Hospital has 178 beds, with 30 beds in the Frankland Centre. A total of 320 nurses are employed at the hospital. Situated 10 minutes from the Perth CBD in an open parkland setting, the campus is easily accessible by public transport.

Graduate programs

Graylands Hospital offers a comprehensive graduate program for graduate RNs wishing to enter in to the area of mental health.
