2011 digital photography competition

2011 Winner: 'Gratitude' by Jenni Ng
Jenni Ng, Program Manager, Global Health Alliance Western Australia, was announced as the the 2011 winner of this competition at the official opening of this year’s travelling exhibition held yesterday at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Art Gallery.
Amateur photographers were invited to submit photographs to be used to showcase the many aspects of nursing and midwifery and to capture nurses and midwives in their professional and personal lives.
Entries included a range of international, rural and metropolitan subjects.
The judging panel for the 2011 competition comprised of the following people:
- Kingsley Burton – Director, Health System Improvement Unit – WA Department of Health
- Jane King – Executive Officer, Museums Australia – WA
- Brydon Dunstan - Medical Photographer, Royal Perth Hospital
The annual travelling exhibition of the top entries was established in 2010. The top entries from 2011 will join the collection already travelling around hospitals and health services. The exhibition will be open to view at the Sir Charles Gairdner Art Gallery until the end of the year, and will then move to King Edward Memorial Hospital.
The Nursing and Midwifery Office would like to thank the judges for their time and effort, as well as all of this year’s entrants for their participation.
