Are there any grants?
 WA Health offers a grant for financial assistance for renewal of registration and approved refresher or up-skilling programs.
Application forms for the grant are only available once you have been formally offered a place in a program.
Conditions for eligibility:
- All recipients must be Australian permanent residents or citizens.
- The grant is subject to participants successfully completing the program and then working in a Western Australian public hospital setting for a minimum of 12 months on completion of the program. These positions can be full-time or part-time, not casual.
- Applicant cannot receive any payment such as wages, annual leave, long service leave or payments from any government department during the period they intend to undertake the grant program.
- If an applicant has received a grant of financial assistance from WA Health at any time within the previous twelve (12) months, then they will not qualify for a second grant.
- Grant of financial assistance must be applied for prior to commencement of the program.
- Applicants are responsible for any tax liability related to the grant.
- Applicants agree to complete a grant and employment survey, and provide employment contract as proof of meeting the grant conditions.
- If the applicant does not complete the course or adhere to the agreed conditions, WA Health requires the participant to repay all (or part) of the grant of financial assistance.
