Delivering a Healthy WA
Nursing and midwifery in Western Australia

Become a nurse or midwife

Learning – how long does it take?

Studying nursing can take anywhere from 18 months for ENs to three and a half years for RNs. If you are planning on doing any postgraduate courses, such as midwifery or mental health, this can add approximately another year to your studies.

Course duration varies between the different tertiary education providers. For more information, contact the individual university or TAFE campuses.
