Registered nurses (RNs) are those who possess a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or Bachelor of Nursing from a university. Previously RNs trained on the job in hospitals, but had an equivalent qualification.

The main responsibilities of an RN range from direct patient care to coordination of care delivery, health promotion, research and education. Registered nursing gives you the opportunity to work in a variety of dynamic areas including emergency, cardiology, community, surgery and intensive care.
